With mining rights that cover 22,000 acres (22 square miles) near the Utah, Arizona and Nevada borders, Western Mining and Minerals has one of North America's largest reserves of low-cost, high-quality gypsum rock. Western Mining and Minerals' core business is in the mining and milling of gypsum rock for use in construction products, agricultural and industrial processes.
Abundant amounts of high-purity, white gypsum rock are mined from Western's quarry, located in northern Arizona. This rock is used to produce milled products for the agricultural and plastics industries at Western's multi-million dollar grinding facility, located just 15 miles north of Las Vegas in Apex, Nevada.

The Apex mill is equipped to package gypsum products in 40#, 50#, 80#, and 2,000# bags, as well as load bulk pneumatic tankers.
